The Hegar Urethral Dilator Set contains 14 single-ended stainless steel dilators in a continuous size progression from 4mm to 17mm. Each piece has a slight curve and a polished mirror finish — the curve helps the sound follow the natural angle of the urethral canal rather than requiring straight-line insertion.
Hegar dilators are the standard format for structured urethral dilation. Having the full 14-piece range in a single set means each size increment is covered, so progression can be managed precisely without gaps.
The set comes in a black zip case with a red velvet interior, each dilator held in its own elastic loop — organised, discreet, and ready to sterilise as a complete kit.
Safety: Always sterilise before use. Use only sterile, water-based lubricant specifically formulated for urethral use. Insert slowly with no force. Never use if you have a urinary tract infection, recent urethral trauma, or any active genital infection. Stop immediately if you experience sharp pain, burning, or bleeding.
