Feminine presentation — lingerie and hosiery on a male body
Wearing feminine lingerie on a male body is straightforward — the challenge is sizing. Most lingerie is cut for female proportions, so hip-to-waist ratios, chest width, and leg length all differ from what standard sizing assumes.
Bra sets and lingerie: Cup size is irrelevant without breast tissue — a properly sized breast form fills the cup and gives the set the shape it's designed for. Without one, an underwired bra won't sit correctly. Bra sets in stretch lace are the most forgiving fit across different chest widths.
Underwear: Male hips are typically narrower and waists proportionally wider than female sizing assumes. High-waist briefs tend to fit better on a male frame. Female underwear in stretch lace accommodates a wider size range than woven or satin styles.
Hosiery: Stockings and hosiery fit well across most male leg lengths. Hold-ups are the easier starting point; garter stockings need a belt sized for the waist.
Breast forms — what to know before buying
Silicone breast forms add chest shape and weight. The weight is what creates natural movement and makes them sit convincingly under clothing — lighter forms suit everyday and lighter clothing, heavier ones give more projection and a fuller silhouette but need a well-fitted harness to distribute the load comfortably.
Harness vs pull-on: Strap-on harness forms adjust to fit and are easier to position correctly. Pull-on silicone tops stretch over the torso and stay in place without straps — better for longer wear with less adjustment needed.
Skin tone: Most forms come in multiple tones. Under clothing the match matters less; for low-cut or sheer tops it matters significantly. Always check the tone options before buying.
Care: Clean with mild soap and warm water after each wear. Never use silicone-based cleaners — they degrade the material over time. A sex toy cleaner formulated for silicone is the safest option for prosthetics worn against the skin regularly.
Tucking — what it is and how it works
Tucking creates a smooth front profile under clothing by positioning the genitalia flat and securing everything in place with a gaff — a tight, flat-fronted undergarment worn as a base layer. Lingerie goes over the top.
The compression needs to hold the position without restricting circulation. Numbness or discomfort means it's too tight — loosen or remove immediately. Limit sessions to a few hours at a time when starting out, and never tuck for sleep.
Packing — what it is and how to choose
Packing is wearing a soft prosthetic in underwear to create a natural-looking bulge — used primarily by trans men and non-binary people for gender affirmation, but also in drag and crossdressing contexts.
Soft packers are flaccid prosthetics worn for presentation only. TPE is the most common material — soft and warms to body temperature quickly, but needs renewer powder after each wear. Silicone is firmer, easier to clean, and more hygienic for long-term daily use.
STP (stand-to-pee) devices are hollow prosthetics designed for trans men and non-binary wearers who want to urinate standing up. Using one takes practice — starting at home before using in public is strongly recommended. Silicone is more hygienic than TPE for daily use.
Packing underwear is worth factoring in from the start. Standard briefs don't hold a packer securely — dedicated packing underwear has a built-in pouch that keeps everything positioned correctly. Some strap-on harnesses also function as packing harnesses for more functional prosthetics.
Wearable prosthetics
Wearable genital prosthetics are full silicone shorts with realistic detail that pull on over the hips without straps — covering both masculine and feminine presentations. Penis prosthetics suit trans men and masc-presenting wearers; vulva prosthetics suit trans women and fem-presenting wearers.
Liquid silicone gives a significantly more realistic feel and movement than standard silicone. Some are also functional as dildos for penetrative use. Always confirm whether a prosthetic is for presentation only or functional before buying.
Completing a feminine look
For a full feminine presentation, wigs are as important as the lingerie — they change the whole character of a look and are often what makes everything else read correctly.
