Description
The Bristol Hemp Bondage Rope is a 16.4-foot (5-metre) natural hemp rope suited to shibari and general bondage knotting. Shibari is the Japanese art of rope bondage, traditionally focused on the aesthetic and psychological elements of the tie as much as the physical restraint.
Hemp is one of the most established materials for shibari and rope bondage. It holds knots firmly with very little stretch, develops a softer feel with use, and has a natural look and texture that suits the aesthetic of Japanese-style rope work well.
The 5-metre length is best suited to single-point ties — wrist, ankle, or simple upper body restraints rather than full-body harnesses or complex multi-rope patterns.
