Description
ID Silk® is a hybrid lubricant from ID Lube that combines a water-based feel with the longer-lasting performance of a silicone formula. Most hybrids simply blend the 2 types and leave it at that. Silk goes further — hydrolysed silk protein is added to the formula, which draws water in and holds it there, so it stays wetter for longer.
The result sits in a useful middle ground. It feels natural and light on application — closer to a water-based lubricant than a silicone one — but it doesn't dry out at the same rate. The formula also contains Sodium Hyaluronate, a skin hydrator that keeps the skin feeling soft and moisturised after use rather than just during it.
Non-staining and water soluble, it rinses away easily and washes out of most fabrics in a standard machine wash. Compatible with latex condoms and safe for use with sex toys. The 65ml bottle fits easily in a bag — a practical size for travel or for those wanting to try the formula before committing to a larger bottle.
This suits users who want a water-based feel with better staying power. If pure water-based formulas dry out too quickly but a full silicone lubricant isn't appealing, this sits neatly in between.
