Vac-U-Lock Attachments
Getting started with Vac-U-Lock
How the system works
The connection is built into the base of the dildo rather than relying on a flared rim and O-ring. A hollow plug slots into the socket at the base of the attachment — vacuum pressure holds it firm once seated. The result is a connection that stays fixed regardless of angle or force, which is the main advantage over a standard O-ring set-up where the dildo can shift or tilt. Swapping attachments takes seconds once you're familiar with the plug mechanism.
Starter kit vs attachment only
If you don't already own a compatible harness, start with a kit — it includes the harness, an attachment, the plug and the Vac-U Powder needed for smooth assembly. Buying attachments separately only makes sense if you already have the harness and plug from a previous kit. The powder is a maintenance item rather than optional — it keeps the plug sliding smoothly and protects the material of the attachment over time.
Attachments in this range
Vac-U-Lock attachments come in realistic styles using FIRMSKYN material — Doc Johnson's firm, lifelike compound. The range typically covers slim through mid-size options, plus more extreme sizes for experienced users. All are moulded for realistic look and feel, and all connect to the same plug system. Check individual listings for dimensions before buying.
Who this system suits
The system is worth it when you're investing in a harness set-up long-term and want the option to swap attachments without buying new hardware every time. The vacuum connection also appeals to anyone who's found O-ring set-ups frustrating — particularly if the dildo has shifted or tilted at the wrong moment, which the plug mechanism prevents. It's a more committed approach than a standard harness: you're buying into a specific system rather than mixing and matching freely. The trade-off is stability and ease of swapping that a standard harness set-up doesn't match on those specific points.
Vac-U-Lock vs other strap-on formats
Against standard O-ring harnesses, the main difference is connection security and the interchangeable ecosystem — but you're limited to Doc Johnson's attachment range rather than the full breadth of the harness compatible dildo market. Strapless strap-ons and hollow strap-ons don't use any attachment system — they're fixed designs. This system sits in the middle: more structured than a simple O-ring, less varied than the open harness-compatible market, but more stable than either when the connection is locked in.
